THE CASE FOR A MALENY CULTURAL CENTRE/ARTS FACILITY____________________________________________________
For the past 3 months I have been putting together a community response survey to prove a case for a quality exhibition/performance/workshop centre for our creative community. The results have been examined and the document is ready to hand to the community. It is my hope that people like yourself will see this document as a springboard to begin the long process of lobbying for the ideal Maleny public arts facility. The statistics that have come from the survey support the real need for a multi-purpose public facility. Those statistics define the areas of interest that would service the unique intensity, and diversity, of creativity that is simply - Maleny. I am inviting a number of people interested in the cultural future of Maleny to meet with me at the MALENY LIBRARY at 5.30pm on FRIDAY 9th MARCH. It is my intention to formally hand this survey document over to the community with the hope that it will bring together a group of interested, talented and committed people who would be prepared to pool their diverse expertise in taking the next steps.I shall be returning to my easel, happy in the knowledge that the project will be in the best of possible hands.
