Special Meeting of Residents &
Ratepayers Organised by Glasshouse Business Association Re
proposed Council changes to democratic election procedure. 8PM Thursday 22nd
February 2007 At Landsborough Community Hall |
|
This Public Meeting has
been convened to allow the general public to hear the augments for and
against the Mayors proposal to reduce the number of Caloundra City
Councillors to five plus the Mayor to contest the upcoming elections. The
Deputy Mayor Don Smith has agreed to attend and put forward his views along
with Anna Grosskreutz, Dick Newman and Gordon Wallace and maybe more. This is a wonderful
opportunity for Voters who Cannot get to the Special Meeting of Council on
Monday the 26th of February to voice their views to our elected
representative…. But do also attend the Council meeting, 9:30 on Monday
if you can. This meeting is organised by a
number of concerned ratepayers, voters and community groups. Chairman will be
Mr Ron Strong, President of the Caloundra City Ratepayers & Residents
